Treatment Research Clinic Mission Statement

The Treatment Research Clinic is part of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in the University of Texas Medical School. Our mission is to help define better therapy and medication options for substance dependence. The clinic is located at:

  • Our confidential programs provide a safe and clean atmosphere for people who need help with substances
  • Each structured treatment program provides behavioral therapy or case management sessions led by trained professionals
  • These programs may include new medications (with the chance of placebo) and compensation for your time

    The staff of the Treatment Research Clinic is dedicated to assisting clients with drug and alcohol abuse through better interventions. We are a part of the Substance Abuse Research Center at the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston

    Our research projects are funded primarily by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) of the National Institute of Health. All of our programs are confidential and no cost to you.
